What is Maternity Photography?

A maternity photography shoot is a beautiful and intimate way to document the start of your journey into motherhood.

A maternity photoshoot is relaxed and fun, supporting you to feel empowered and embrace how your amazing body is growing your tiny human.

Starting by allowing a 2-4 hour time slot, we are guided by how you are feeling that day. Partners and children are welcome to get involved in the photoshoot too.

When to Book Your Maternity Photoshoot

I recommend booking your maternity photoshoot after your 20-week scan. We can then decide on a provisional date for your session, which we will aim to do at around 29-33 weeks gestation.

I will keep in touch with you during the run-up to your photoshoot and allow enough space in my diary to adjust the date of your session if we need to, depending on how you are feeling at the time.

Maternity Photography Studio

My bespoke maternity photography studio is located in West Malling, Kent.

The studio is stocked with lovely pastels and muted fabrics. From denim to soft neutrals, we will capture your intimate moments as you progress into motherhood.

 You don't have to bring anything with you on the day, I'll take care of everything, including giving you some well-deserved time to relax during the photoshoot.

Use my contact form to share your due date and a little about what you are hoping for. If you are not sure yet, that is completely fine.

I will check availability and recommend the best time for your session, usually around 29 to 33 weeks, guided by how you are feeling.

Wardrobe and styling are taken care of, with flexibility built in

what to expect

Once confirmed, I will send you a booking confirmation with details on how to get to the studio, including a video walkthrough from your car to the front door, and through the studio!

We will plan the styling together using the studio wardrobe and fabrics, from denim to soft neutrals, so you do not need to bring a thing.

If you are not feeling your best as the date approaches, we will adjust. Your comfort comes first.

STEP THREE | Your Session

Unrushed, peaceful, and beautifully led.

what to expect

We'll meet at the studio for your agreed session time. Then, we'll take some time to settle in on the sofa and answer any questions you may still have. 

Your session is purposely unrushed, with a 2 to 4 hour time slot so we can move gently and take breaks whenever you need them. 

I will guide you into flattering, natural posing and create a tranquil atmosphere so you feel relaxed, confident, and looked after.

If your partner or children are joining, we will weave them in naturally, so it feels like a true chapter of your family story.

STEP FOUR | The Reveal

Where your images become finished pieces for your home.


A guided reveal, around two weeks after

Choose your favourites and how you would like to preserve them

what to expect

Approximately two weeks after your session, I will invite you back to the studio for a gallery viewing. Here, you can choose which collection you would like to purchase.

After I apply the finishing touches, I will send you the final digital images and prints you have selected. Plus, any wall art or additional memories you choose.
