What is Baby-Led Newborn Photography?
Baby-led newborn photography means that we allow your baby the time and space needed to make sure we achieve a successful photoshoot.
Starting by allowing a 2-4 hour time slot, we are guided by how your baby is feeling and behaving that day. Parents and siblings are welcome to join in with the photographs at the end of the shoot so we make sure baby is comfortable for the sleeping, posed photographs.
What is a Newborn Photoshoot?
A newborn photoshoot is your special way to preserve all of the beautiful tiny details about your baby, while they are still so small and delicate.
I aim to craft simple, modern, and timeless memories of this remarkable chapter in your life before time flies and they are already grown up!
Your newborn photoshoot will be baby-led in a tranquil atmosphere to create an extraordinary experience for you and your your family.
When to Book Your Newborn Photoshoot
I recommend booking your newborn session after your 20-week scan. We can then decide on a provisional date for your session, which is usually a week after your due date.
I will keep in touch with you during the run-up to your baby’s birth and allow enough space in my diary to adjust the date of your session if we need to, depending on your baby's arrival.
Newborn Photography Studio
My bespoke newborn photography studio is located in West Malling, Kent.
The studio is stocked with lovely pastels and neutrals, fabrics, swaddles, and minimalistic props that can be used during the session. You don't have to bring anything with you on the day, I'll take care of everything, including giving you some well-deserved time to relax during the photoshoot.

Use my contact form to send me your details. You don't have to be sure what you're looking for yet. Let's have a chat to figure out what's best for you and your baby.
I will take a look at my availability around your due date and arrange a call with you where we can discuss your questions and any concerns you may have.
I recommend booking after your 20-week scan, then we will pencil a provisional date, usually around a week after your due date.
STEP TWO | Plan

Once confirmed, I will send you a booking confirmation with details on how to get to the studio, including a video walkthrough from your car to the front door, and through the studio!
I will stay in touch so that we can bring the photoshoot forward if your baby arrives early, or push it back if they are late. This also applies if you need more time to feel yourself again, or need more time to settle in with baby.
STEP THREE | Your Session
Baby-led, unhurried, and beautifully cared for.

Your session is purposely baby-led, with a 2 to 4 hour time slot so there is never any rushing.
We begin by settling in on the sofa, then I gently lead the session based on your baby’s cues, in a calm and tranquil atmosphere.
The studio is stocked with soft neutrals, fabrics, swaddles and minimal props, so you do not need to bring any clothing.
Parents and siblings are welcome to join in towards the end, once baby is comfortable.
STEP FOUR | The Reveal
Where your images become finished pieces for your home.
A guided reveal, around two weeks after

Approximately two weeks after your session, I will invite you back to the studio for a gallery viewing. Here, you can choose which collection you would like to purchase.
After I apply the finishing touches, I will send you the final digital images and prints you have selected. Plus, any wall art or additional memories you choose.
