Experience a Luxury Maternity Photoshoot in Kent

You only carry your baby for a short time, but the memories can last a lifetime.

A maternity photoshoot is your chance to slow down, celebrate this moment, and create something beautiful to look back on. At Before Time Flies, I’ve designed every part of the experience with that in mind.

This is often the start of a journey. Many families begin with a maternity session, then return once baby arrives to create heirloom artwork that captures their story in full.

Here’s what to expect from your luxury maternity session.

A Private, Relaxing Studio

My boutique studio in West Malling was built with new families in mind. It’s calm, quiet, and private. Your experience will be all about you and your loved ones. I don’t have back-to-back bookings, and don’t allow for any distractions. I’ll lock the door, and my focus is entirely on you and your family.

The space is split into two parts. The cosy family lounge where you can settle in, have a cup of tea, and relax. And secondly, a purpose-built studio space where I’ll gently guide you through the session, using natural tones and flattering light to create timeless portraits.

There’s even a viewing window between the two, so your partner can stay close without being on camera the entire time.

A Simple, Supportive Process

You don’t need to have everything planned. I’ll guide you every step of the way:

1)  Get in touch

Use the contact form to send me your due date. I’ll follow up to talk through options, answer any questions, and check availability.

2)  Book your date

Once confirmed, I’ll send you all the info you need, including a short video showing you exactly how to find the studio and what to expect on the day.

3)  Your session

Sessions last between 2–4 hours and are unrushed and considered, providing all the time we need without the clock watching. You’ll have full use of the studio wardrobe, props, and refreshments. I’ll take care of styling, lighting, and gentle posing. All you need to do is enjoy the moment.

Your maternity session can be booked as a standalone experience or as part of our Bump to Baby package, where we’ll also welcome you back for a newborn session once baby has arrived. Bump to Baby Package - Save 20% on your newborn session.

4)  Your gallery viewing

Around two weeks later, you’ll return to the studio for a personal viewing of your edited images. You’ll choose your favourites and decide how you'd like to keep them. This could be as digital memories, prints, or something more.

5)  Saving space for the next chapter

For maternity sessions, many parents choose to keep things simple with digital images or a few favourite prints. The heirloom packages are most often chosen during the newborn session, when we create custom artwork to celebrate your growing family.

Your maternity images can be included in those designs if you wish, and help to bring everything together.

Most parents start with maternity portraits and return once baby arrives. By booking both together you’ll unlock a 20% saving on the newborn session, and your bump photos can flow straight into the heirloom album or wall art we design afterwards.

Your Wardrobe is Ready

There’s no need to worry about what to wear.

The studio wardrobe is full of carefully selected maternity gowns and fabrics in timeless tones and flattering styles. Whether you prefer something dramatic or simple, we’ll find what feels right for you.

All pieces are freshly prepared before your session. If you’d like to include your partner or other children, I can guide you on simple, neutral outfit choices that work well with the look and feel of the studio.

Your Comfort Comes First

This is your time to feel calm and supported. The studio includes:

  • A temperature-controlled environment
  • A feeding and changing area
  • High street parking just steps from the front door
  • Plenty of time and space to relax or feed your baby as needed

I only book one session per day, so there’s no rush.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if my baby arrives early, or later than expected?

I reserve a flexible window around your due-date rather than a fixed slot on the calendar. As your baby's due date draws near, I'll be in contact with you to put some time in our diaries for the photoshoot. I’ll make sure to leave space in my calendar and do everything necessary so it’s easy for us to change the session date within the ideal two-to-three-week window, if necessary, to accommodate your little one's arrival! If baby arrives later, we simply shift the session forward. Your booking, and your 20 % saving, is secure no matter when baby chooses to say hello.

Do I have to pick a collection right now?

You don't need to choose any collection when you book your session. When you view your gallery, you choose your images and your preferred collection, as well as any additional prints. products or wall art.
